Home to some of the best views on Hong Kong Island, across the majestic sweep of the Kowloon peninsula, Petrus has more than just fine French cuisine to offer. There is the charming service; the luxe decor with its thick carpet, marble columns and crystal chandeliers; and a 12,000-bottle wine cellar that allows for an (almost) endless array of satisfying pairings. Executive chef Uwe Opocensky presents a modern take on French cuisine with artfully presented dishes of the highest standard, and he is always happy to discuss his creations with guests. Last year's winter menu was a particular delight, with highlights including Barbary duck, langoustine, chestnuts and frog legs.
