With branches from Central to Cebu and Las Vegas to Dubai, Mott 32 is one of Hong Kong's most successful high-end culinary exports. The original branch still wows with its interiors, courtesy of Joyce Wang, inspired by imaginary individuals and spaces – old revolutionaries meeting beneath a mural of Sun Yat-sen; a storeroom housing family heirlooms. The surface detail is intriguing, but Mott would not have succeeded without delivering food that makes you want to return time and again. The meats, in particular, are terrific.
