A shopping centre inside one of Hong Kong's oldest housing estates in Wong Tai Sin is not the first place that comes to mind when searching for a good meal. But that is where you will find Man Yuen. The restaurant has impressed since opening last April, thanks to the combined efforts of executive chef Edmond Lam Hei-wai and manager CK Poon Kin-wai, who previously managed the three-Michelin-starred Forum. On offer is high-quality Cantonese cooking presented in a warm and friendly atmosphere. This is exemplified in terrific dishes like the minced chicken soup with snow swallow and Yunnan ham, and the braised oxtail in black pepper and chu hou sauce.
