A standard-bearer for contemporary Korean cuisine in Hong Kong, Hansik Goo promises everything from home-style to royalty-inspired dishes. Recently appointed head chef Park Seung-hun has been with the restaurant since it opened in 2020 and is determined to continue the work of his predecessor Steve Lee in elevating the image of Korean food in the city. The menu changes seasonally – though the Korean fried chicken cooked with a delicate yuza jang, available as a side, remains a firm favourite. Recent winter highlights included a flavourful grilled gochujang seasonal fish served with pickled gat and garlic chive muchim, and a ginseng chicken risotto with black truffle.
