The past year saw significant new openings, but arguably none more significant than Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic – a concept by "the world's most Michelin-starred female chef", causing obvious excitement. The restaurant is the crowning jewel of Forty-Five, the Landmark's new hospitality destination. The interior design is stunning, courtesy of wonderful pieces by French luxury manufacturer Baccarat. In the kitchens, head chef Marc Mantovani, who has worked with Pic for more than 10 years, brings the visionary chef's creations to life in flawless fashion. Try the Challans duck marinated with eucalyptus and coffee, and the line-caught mackerel barbecued and glazed with a dashi infused with matcha and Jerez vinegar.
