
Leading Nation added premier yakitori concept Torikaze to its local portfolio this year at Forty-Five. The concept was developed by yakitori master chef Yoshiteru Ikegawa, who apprenticed at Tokyo’s esteemed Toriyoshi, and Torikaze makes its Hong Kong debut helmed by chef Ryo Matsui. Under the house motto of “one skewer, one lifetime”, Torikaze keeps it simple and excellent – relying on the right cuts, seasonal vegetables and precise cooking over the binchotan grill. Local and Japanese cuts are available, and at surprisingly reasonable prices. Guests can enjoy local three yellow chicken prepared as yakitori at the omakase dinner experience, or opt for homestyle hits like oyakodon or chicken broth somen noodle soup at lunch.
