
The “pearl of SoHo” shines brighter than ever after major changes in 2025. At just 29 years of age, German-Turkish head chef Mina Güçlüer took the reins in June, bringing her condensed but rich experience to the fore after stints at prestigious establishments back home in Germany.
The cuisine remains “modern” yet avoids the unnecessary embellishments often found at less refined venues – not for nothing does Belon claim to offer “sincere” modern French cuisine. Not that it needed it, but tweaks have been made that improve the dining experience. An à la carte dinner menu has been a welcome addition, providing diners much needed flexibility with their meals. The chef’s counter, while not unique, is also a thoroughly worthwhile experience, providing a particularly up-close and personal look at the kitchen here.
