If you call your restaurant The Steak House, you had better deliver. Fortunately, said restaurant has history on its side – its original charcoal grill, the first of its kind in a restaurant in Hong Kong, remains in place – and the experience here is undeniably among the best in town. The Steak House still gleams following its makeover courtesy of designers at Bar Studio, who have imbued the space with a warming, and appropriate, palette of burgundy and charcoal, alongside highlights of copper and gold. It’s lovely to look at, even if the harbour view steals the show. The curated meat selection is regularly updated and now offers guests steaks from premium farms from four continents, in a range of cuts, as well as a dozen sides, and eight sauces. Various seafood options balance the menu and should you be cruel enough to drag a vegetarian along with you, the salad bar is as impressive as always.
