The eponymous Miyakawa being chef Masaaki Miyakawa, a protégé of legendary sushi master Masahiro Yoshitake, whose very own Sushi Miyakawa in Sapporo is the only three-Michelin-starred restaurant in Hokkaido. Miyakawa is familiar with the challenges of running an upscale sushi restaurant outside Japan, having worked at Hong Kong’s three-Michelin-starred Sushi Shikon. Here in Macau, he and his deputies select the freshest ingredients at the peak of their seasonality and deliver a parade of hits in the best Edomae style. The serene and minimalist ambience complements the culinary artistry, creating a truly unforgettable dining journey.
