Whether you need to cross to the “dark side” or live in Kowloon already, the Rosewood’s premier cocktail bar is outstanding, popular for its vast array of exceptional drinks – twists on classics, spirits by the cask – as well as its live music. What regular guests have come to look forward to most, however, are DarkSide’s outstanding annual concept menus. Previous editions have been inspired by phases of the moon, mahjong, and yin and yang. This January they unveiled their latest menu, an homage to the glamour of the 1920s and 30s, which presents eight reimagined classic cocktails. Included are some often unfashionable items as the Hanky Panky, which receives new depth thanks to some Fernet Hunter, and the Brown Derby, which has been enlivened by the addition of rum and maple flavours.
