The “pearl of SoHo” continues to shine bright. Head chef Matthew Kirkley leverages more than two decades of experience in two- and three-Michelin-starred establishments at this, one of the crown jewels in Black Sheep Restaurants’ portfolio, upholding the exacting standards that have earned Belon its own Michelin star ever since 2019. The cuisine here is modern yet avoids unnecessary embellishments often found at less refined venues – not for nothing does Belon claim to offer “sincere” modern French cuisine. Recent highlights have included aji dulce with lamb merguez and Parmesan, Spanish mackerel with ginkgo nut and red curry, and a pineapple millefeuille enlivened with kaffir lime.
